Textile Roofs Workshop
Textile Roofs is an international workshop dedicated to the exchange and further development of textile structures and membrane architecture. One highlight is the Experimental Project led by 3dtex. Here, an exciting membrane design is created and assembled together with the participants. Here you can see some of the structures built in recent years.
Textile Roofs 2025 – Aedes Berlin
For “Textile Roofs 2025,” which took place at the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin, we designed a sculpture for the inner courtyard. The temporary membrane roof is attached to six points in the brickwork and forms a central, funnel-shaped low point. The “drop,” a water bag used as a weight, fits snugly onto the cut-out funnel.
The membrane roof can be used both as a roof and as a sculpture during events in the courtyard.

Textile Roofs 2019 – Archenhold Sternwarte Berlin
Für die „Textile Roofs 2019” hat 3dtex eine Membranstruktur mit eingespannten Luftstützen entworfen. Der Traversenring dient dabei als Druckring für die Schnürung. Dadurch war eine ortsunabhängige Montage der Skulptur möglich.
