Elegant sun sails at Müggelsee

Two awnings that provide shade for the south-facing terraces ensure a pleasant climate in the summer and protect the outdoor area from snow and rain.

The double-curved four-point sail is attached to the building at two anchor points and spans from there to a high point on the mast and a low point on the masonry. The smaller sun sail, with a linear connection to the garden shed, serves as a practical canopy structure for the barbecue terrace.

Both sails complement the house’s clean lines and elegantly reinterpret the patio area. This creates an exciting interplay between architecture and textile elements.
