The roof of the shopping mall Cabo Norte is covered with 12.000 qm of the translucent ETFE cushions. We were requested to develop and produce the 102 cushions. A ventilation system controls the constant pressure and provides compensation for strong wind loads in the membrane. A special IR-cut membrane from Nowoflo reduce the thermal load in the interior in a significant way. For the assembling of the ETFE cushions we used our especially developed aluminium profile system with silicone seals, which provides an absolute waterproofness.
