Cabo Norte – ETFE foil roof
The roof of the shopping mall Cabo Norte is covered with 12.000 qm of the translucent ETFE cushions. We were requested to develop and produce the 102 cushions. A ventilation system controls the constant pressure and provides compensation for strong wind loads in the membrane.
A special IR-cut membrane from Nowoflo reduces the thermal load in the interior in a significant way. For the assembling of the ETFE cushions, we used our specially developed aluminum profile system with silicone seals, which provide absolute waterproofness.
